**Katherine Low Settlement** is a much-loved, busy charity that has been at the heart of the community in Battersea, South West London, since 1924.
With a few staff and a lot of volunteers, we run a range of our own community services, we campaign for social change and we support other charities and communities to thrive.
We support children, young people and their families, older people, women and refugees and newly-arrived communities.
Our building is used for community activities and events by over 500 people a week, and our rooms are available for hire at affordable rates.
We are grateful for the funding we receive from supporters, trusts and foundations to enable us to continue to reduce poverty and isolation and bring Battersea together.
**Volunteering role descriptions**

The Love to Learn program, under the umbrella of the Katherine Low Settlement, is dedicated to providing essential assistance to children and young people from refugee backgrounds. Our mission is to create a future in which every young person achieves their full educational potential, thrives academically, gains confidence, and develops a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
Volunteer Opportunities with **Love to Learn**:
**Homework Clubs in the Heart of Battersea Community**:
Our after-school clubs cater to children aged 4 to 18. These clubs offer an hour of homework help followed by an engaging hour of activities. We have a variety of clubs tailored to your availability and skills:
- Early Years Mentoring Club (Ages 4-7): Wednesdays, 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
- Youth Club (Ages 14-21): Mondays, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
- Homework Club (Ages 11-17): Wednesdays, 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm
- Homework Club (Ages 5-11): Thursdays, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
- GCSE Revision Club: Tuesdays, 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm; Wednesdays, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
