**Volunteer Community Mentor (Bexley, Harrow and Havering)**

At Shaw Trust we're dedicated to building a future where rewarding employment is accessible for all. Our Spark Change Programme plays a key role in helping young people (18 - 24) to access what they need to make a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

**As a Volunteer Community Mentor**, you will support and encourage NEET young people living in the London Boroughs of Bexley, Harrow and Havering to overcome any barriers between them and their career goals/aspirations. Through a mix of online and face-to-face events, we want you to:

- Act as an ambassador for Spark Change in your assigned Borough
- Help get young people engaged in activities in the community
- Take part in events in your Borough to promote Spark Change
- Assist by providing advice and support based on your local knowledge
- Play your part in getting young people into education, training, and employment

**Boost your confidence, skills, and CV by supporting the Spark Change Programme.**

If you can give us 2 - 6 hours per week, we’ll give you all the training and support you need to become a Volunteer Community Mentor.

We can be very flexible around parenting / caring / health / employment / education and any other commitments you have. Some travel and other expenses may be covered too.
