If yes, then we may have the role for youWe don’t have customers here at Metro Bank, we create fans and it’s at the heart of what we do. The only way to do this is through our amazing colleagues. As a People Operations Specialist, you will help our colleagues with all things people related. Every day is different and the queries can range from holiday questions, to confirming shared parental leave arrangements. In addition, you will be updating our people system with changes, issuing contracts and sending letters.Depending on the team, most of our roles offer flexible working.**So what would you be doing?...**
- Helping colleagues by making sure that their HR records are accurate and queries are answered quickly
- Providing on boarding support for new colleagues
- Managing day to day HR processes and working alongside other teams such as Recruitment and our Business Partner teams, to provide a seamless delivery
- Owning and running data checks and audits, this includes for the monthly payroll, Right to Work checks and other regular reporting requirements
- Prioritising and organising a very busy workload which will involve projects, whilst always making sure that you deliver excellent customer service
- Constantly striving to improve our systems and processes, whilst utilising our HR technology and systems to maximise effectiveness
- Supporting the People Team goal to enhance colleague experience through continuous process improvement
- Working closely with the People Operations Manager to coordinate and manage the Team’s day to day tasks and activities, delivery to SLAs and satisfying compliance and regulatory requirements
- Supporting Team members to resolve complex queries through effective Team work and communication

- Ideally you will have worked in an administration/coordination role, with systems, data and excel experience
- A good knowledge of HR including awareness of areas like absence, maternity and paternity would be beneficial but not required
- A strong understanding of data management and the need for accuracy and checks
- Process improvement experience
- Proven ability to adapt and deliver in an ever changing and busy environment, whilst staying organised and on top of your work load
