We’re looking for a People Operations Lead to join our People Operations team in London and to support our Wisers across UK and EU markets. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise’s mission and assist business leads and teams in delivering a seamless employee experience throughout the entire ‘Wiser’ journey, and in turn growing as a people leader.

This role will report to our EMEA People Operations Lead.

**Your Mission**:
As one team, our People Operations’ (part of People Services) vision is to create fast, convenient, transparent Wiser support, powered by smart tech and human advice. To help us get there, you’ll be responsible for leading the UK People Operations team based in London (2 Advisors and 2 Support Specialists) and Brussels (1 Advisor).

This team has two key functions - People Advisory to ensure smooth handling and avoidance of Employee Relations (ER) cases; and People Support to ensure we provide seamless and tech-enabled services and operational guidance to our Wisers.

As the Lead, you will provide important insights and sound recommendations alongside policy and process, ensuring key stakeholders as well as your team are continually informed of legislation, law and regulation updates, and making any necessary adjustments to how we work.

You’ll also be responsible for team goals, KPIs, efficiencies, process improvements and future optimization of our People Operations team, through deliverables in local and global projects. Specifically we would be looking for you to bring the different teams across People Services together locally to build a community of People Services practitioners.

**Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the team**:

- Lead, coach and upskill the UK People Operations team responsible for providing a comprehensive People service to our Wisers in the London office (c. 1,000 employees), Brussels office (c. 25 Wisers) and 5 other small EU locations (c. 20 Wisers in total).
- Play a key role in driving the People Operations evolution, by leading projects on a local level and contributing at a global level, all of which are focused on the Wiser experience and operational excellence, and contributing to the build of Wise’s shared services by defining which tasks can be centralised and ensuring smooth transition.
- Support People Advisors to navigate end-to-end management of ER cases with increased complexity, sensitivity, regulation and risk, cross-sharing recommendations and learnings from specific cases to enable further development, and feeding back any key trends and insights into our future-focused planning.
- Act as a point of escalation for ER cases with deeper complexity/severity.
- Ensure and maintain compliance with labour, immigration and financial regulations to ensure the team provides smart advice on HR legislation and policy, and to ensure all operations adhere strictly to compliance policies and procedures.
- Set aspirational development goals and performance measurement KPIs /OKRs for the team to build continual growth and succession plans.

- Maximise advisory impact and partnership: collaborate with the People Partners (HRBPs) and senior stakeholders to share advisory data and trends to drive empowered and inclusive stakeholder relationships.

- Experienced Lead: you feel comfortable leading, developing and optimising a team and being an evangelist of the ‘working smart’ principle.
- Customer driven: you’re customer-centric, always thinking about how to automate and improve the Wiser experience while working smarter not harder.
- Data driven: with your high proficiency in data tools and visualisation, you always start with data, facts and insights to help inform your approach through storytelling to solving problems and analysing needs.
