**Purpose of role**: This role has a significant opportunity to drive productivity, engagement and efficiency. Operational excellence will enhance the offering and value that the full P&C team bring and it will enable managers and employees to self-serve and take ownership of an enhanced employee experience across the moments that matter most.

Working closely with the Head of Reward, Head of Business Partnering and the Head of Talent, and in partnership with the business, this role will define, design and deliver the definition and subsequent implementation of HR Operations, in line with the People & Culture Strategy and our EVP.

**Main Accountabilities**:

- Engage and consult with the People Leadership Team, key business stakeholders, including the digital and transformation teams,and end users to define and deliver an effective HR operation in line with our P&C strategy and broader Operational Design principles.
- Lead and manage the People transformation activity, ensuring that the People processes, policies & systems enable the activation and delivery of the EVP and create an efficient foundation for the delivery of future self service (for employees and managers) by simplifying our people operations and ensuring a user centric operation is created.
- Build trusted relationships across the enterprise, using feedback and consultation to improve HR operational effectiveness
- Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to identify potential new systems, policy & process requirements in order to establish and execute a clear transformation plan, including the harmonisation of London & Windsor people processes.
- Build an improved HR operational foundation that has a clear set of tools, policies & processes, and associated training guides for the operational team, creating measurable efficiency and automation where opportunity is identified.
- Manage the risks surrounding people operations, ensuring compliance with TCE policies and legislation.

**Knowledge, experience and skills**:

- Proven experience in an HR change and transformational role, ideally in a business that has undergone substantive digital transformation in a similar environment.
- Strong background of HR operations, policy & best practice.
- Be a credible operator with the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, at all levels, able to influence and challenge laterally and upwards.
- Work in both a practical and conceptual capacity, open minded to new and evolving ways of operating.
- Outstanding verbal communication skills in order to understand and simply explain complex processes and strategies to stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail backed up with employment law and best practice.
- Ability to effectively deliver and make a positive impact quickly in a new environment - remaining adaptable and flexible.
