Disclaimer: we know finance can be boring so we make up for it by working with a great bunch of folks. You might even make so many new friends that you have to drop a few old ones off your xmas card list
But don't worry, you don't need technical IT skills, and we don't expect you to be the finished article either - we'll sharpen up your skills so sharp you might even cut your finger when handling all the invoices, through on the job training and industry certifications.
Here's a few areas we do need you to be proficient in:
- Sage 50 Cloud Professional (or similar)
- Handling Direct Debits
- Using CRM systems
If you haven't guessed it by now, you're soft skills are just as important as you're finance ones - we have a no bullsh*t attitude - so if you don't like talking to people or working in a team, you're probably best passing on this opportunity.
**What does a typical day look like in this job?**
We're all about accountability, there's no sloapy shoulders here. Here's a few things we will expect of you in the role on a day-to-day basis:
- Update and maintain financial records using Sage 50 cloud professional
- Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts
- Creating and processing invoices using an automated system
- Contact clients and send reminders to ensure timely payments
- Schedule payments via Direct Debit
- Updating and maintaining CRM systems with all client details
- Any other administration support as and when necessary
**About you**
So how do you know if you've got what it takes to get this job? Here's a few things you've absolutely gotta' have
- 5 years+ experience working in a similar finance position or higher
- You're got your wits about you Finance is a precise function, attention to detail is essential
- You're a self-motivated achiever who gains satisfaction from a job well done, and can't sleep at night until you find that missing 10p
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner (yea, we talk to our clients here)
- Enviable organisational & problem-solving ability
- A strong sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task effectively
