My client is a successful global company that provides a variety of on-site Laboratory Services to major pharmaceutical companies. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Shipping Coordinator.

**Responsibilities**:

- Key point of contact for all research staff for requests pertaining to inventory, aliquoting and dispatch of samples
- Routine maintenance of the in-house database
- Working to established procedures to perform aliquoting of material as required (under aseptic conditions)
- Prepare and pack for shipment R&D samples (biological, chemical, dangerous goods etc) globally, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations (air/road/sea)
- Dispatch goods ensuring all relevant documentation is correct and meets GLP, GxP and Health and Safety standards
- Resolve or escalate complex queries from the customer relating to internal and external sample shipments
- Creation, maintenance and updating relevant documentation in support of service delivery, compliance and training
- Analyse reports, measurements, and external benchmarks to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Participate in the preparation for regulatory inspections as needed.
- Ensure that incoming materials are of suitable quality and quantity, received to inventory correctly and available for use on the date required
- Liaise with Government bodies/customers/regulated agents/suppliers/planning office to resolve complex queries about the delivery and collection of research samples
- Booking of shipments with a range of couriers and liaising with end-users

**About You**:

- Previous working experience in a Scientific Stores and/or a laboratory environment
- Practical experience with aseptic technique/aliquoting of samples
- Experience working to IATA/ADR/IMDG preferable
- Outstanding communication skills on all levels and problem-solving capabilities with the confidence to react promptly to deliver the best service possible
- An understanding of how the team interacts internally and externally within the organisation and how they contribute to the objectives of the business
- Proficient in data capture, analysis and reporting utilising various IT systems
- Knowledge and understanding of Good Laboratory Standards
- Exceptionally high level of commitment to the success of individuals and overall projects and service provision.
