The Research and Statistics team at GL Education is looking for an additional Statistician to join the team in a range of exciting assessment and research projects.

The Statistician will be expected to conduct statistical analyses across a range of assessment projects; supporting and advising on internal and external research projects, data collation and modelling.

**PRIMARY DUTIES**:

- Conduct statistical analysis of research and assessment data
- Contribute towards the design and carrying out of statistical analyses of trials and standardisation projects for current and new assessment and survey products
- Support on statistical analysis for Admissions and Customised testing
- Conduct psychometric analysis of various assessments we publish
- Assist in statistical validation of existing assessments and products.
- Provide expert contribution to adhoc analysis services provided to clients such as Multi Academy Trusts, International School groups and Ministries around the world
- Quality Assure the work of other statisticians in the team

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:
**Essential**:

- A broad knowledge and understanding of statistical methods and techniques including regression modelling and statistical inference
- A willingness to learn Classical Test Theory/Item Response Theory.
- Cleaning and preparing data for analysis
- Good organisational skills with ability to prioritise own work and work independently to meet deadlines.
- Great attention to detail.
- Capable user of MS Office (especially Excel).

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge of sampling theory, modelling of dependent data (e.g. hierarchical, longitudinal) and multivariate analysis (e.g. factor analysis).
- An understanding of Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory

**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION**:
**Essential**:

- Experienced user of R.

**Desirable**:

- Other packages such as SPSS, Winsteps,etc.

This position will be based on Hybrid basis out of our London offices and offers salary between £25,000 - £29,000 p/a depending on experience.
