Clinical Lead

You will lead and deliver an evidence-based service, contributing to the delivery of assessments, individualised interventions, and discharge planning as part of an effective, flexible, compassionate, and patient-centred approach for people with complex mental health needs in later life.
The post holder will deliver offer a combination of management, highly specialist clinical leadership provision and a ssist and support operational and ward manager and professional leads in the delivery, improvement, and modernisation of services, with an approximate 40% and 60% clinical & education split to their WTE role.
Working in a fully integrated multi-disciplinary team alongside psychological therapies, nursing, medical staff and a range of other colleagues and agencies you will have the opportunity to develop and enhance the clinical service in this setting.
The post holder will provide supervision and appraisal of other staff and students and professionally lead and supervise and support staff. They will be supported by regular supervision and ongoing CPD opportunities.
There are Nursing opportunities for collaboration and participation in development of practice and services. The trust also encourages staff to be involved in wider integrated professional workstreams and development opportunities.
To be responsible and accountable for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient care to Service users as allocated within the designated pathway.
To be responsible and accountable for the delivery of effective and high-quality evidence-based treatment packages within the Pathway.
Provide clinical advice, leadership, and supervision to registered and non-registered staff.
Contribute to Appraisal and Personal Development of staff.
Identify and organise the delivery of appropriate clinical training, to ensure the highest standard of evidence based clinical interventions are provide based on care pathway packages.
Demonstrate clinical excellence in relation to clinical reasoning and decision making when managing complex cases. If applicable lead on and ensure robust and timely Clinical Audit when appropriate.
Support the Ward Manager with team development and other practitioner performance and if applicable to the service.
To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect, and dignity.
To ensure care planning and risk assessments are patient centred and of good quality.
