**Based from Home, this role is field based where travel is required around the South East of England. Ad hoc travel requirements to the Milton Keynes Head Office will be required for team meetings and training.**

We have an internal opportunity for a Senior Claims Investigator within our Claims team in the vibrant South East where you'll be at the forefront of resolving homeowner/builder disputes, conducting meticulous repair scope reviews, delving into recovery cases, and spearheading initiatives to reduce complaints and leakage on claims.

**Responsibilities**:
**What you’ll be doing**
- Setting the investigation strategy on Claims that are not suitable for a standard investigation - working with the Complex and Technical Claims, as necessary and setting strategies where required.
- Ensure consistency on validation by undertaking QA checks on desktop assessments, reports and accompanied visits with CIs with a focus on consistency and outcomes that reduce delays.
- Resolve complaints with a strong focus and early resolution (particularly around complaints on validity).
- Provide feedback and recommendations for training needs, product development, etc from root cause analysis of complaints.
- Analysis of failed repair data to work towards ‘first-time fix’ outcomes.
- Provide support to the RD group on claims queries and work collaboratively with RDs on builder performance.
- Other tasks and projects commensurate with the seniority of the role, ie, participate as directed in working groups, special projects, cross-department committees.
- A strong understanding of the whole Claims Process with an ability to analyse data to identify key areas for improvement.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and possess excellent negotiating influencing and diplomacy skills when engaged with both internal and external customers. Able to communicate complex technical and policy details in basic terms to Homeowners and Builders.
- Proven experience in housebuilding or insurance assessment/investigation
- Sound knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC Standards and policies, construction techniques and the potential causes of defects
- Good knowledge of investigation methodology with a disciplined, structured approach to diagnosis

Qualifications:
**Education and Qualifications**
- A relevant technical construction-related qualification.
- Corporate membership of a related professional body such as RICS, CIOB - desirable.
