- **Equans is looking for a Pensions and Benefits Team Leader to join our team at our Shared Service Centre in Newcastle Upon Tyne (NE12 8BU) on a permanent basis. This is a full time, role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.**

**What will you deliver?**:

- Accountable for overseeing the delivery of the pension and benefits activities across the UKBU.
- Manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day pension and benefits activities, including statutory and business reporting.
- Regularly review the effectiveness of current workload management to ensure SLA’s and KPIs are met.
- Provide expert guidance on pension and benefits processes, legislation, and compliance requirements.
- Preparation of monthly performance statistics and senior/stakeholder management updates.
- Identify and drive team development in terms of coaching, training, and support, including mid and end year reviews.
- Ensure adequate process controls and segregation of duties are in place, satisfying all internal and external audit standards applicable to EQUANS.
- Support the Benefits Advisor with the preparation, administration, and communications for the annual benefits windows.
- Support the Pensions Advisor with the preparation and administration for the annual pension submissions.
- Drive excellence in customer service, service delivery and query management, regularly reviewing and implementing effective procedures and processes to support team and process management; demonstrating ‘hands-on’ support to the team where required.
- Work closely with the SAP Technical Teams to help to ensure legal patching is updated in a timely manner.
- Work with the business and SSD team to develop SAP to drive more effective processes.
- Demonstrate expertise in pensions and benefits procedure inline with current legislation, sharing best practices with pensions and benefits teams and wider teams across the business.
- Take a role in the development and delivery of roadshows, meetings, and liaisons with customers during regular business calls to promote the service and share knowledge and best practice.
- Develop strong working relationships with managers/stakeholders to provide advice on process; co-ordinate planned annual activities, all of which maximises operational performance.

**Who are we looking for?**:

- Experience in operating within a Pensions and/or Benefits team in a transaction processing environment
- Demonstrate good knowledge of pension and benefits processes, legislation, and compliance
- Experience leading a team
- HR & Payroll systems development and experience of SAP database preferred
- This role includes a Basic DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential._
