**Job Title**:Payroll Officer

**Location**: Hythe, 50% WFH, 50% Office based

**Hours**:Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

**Benefits**:24 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holiday

**Responsibilities as the Payroll Officer**:

- Manage the Payroll system
- Arrange the monthly payment of staff salaries
- Check new starters, leavers, benefits, contract changes, and sickness absence payments, maternity and paternity pay.
- Manage the Time and Attendance system
- Administer Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay and Shared parental leave as required.
- Deal with payroll related enquiries
- Attend any required payroll training
- Maintain absence and sickness records, including the calculation of entitlements, and completion of relevant attendance and related management information.
- Extensive experience of standalone Payroll Officer role
- Knowledge of pension/auto-enrolment administration
- Extensive and up to date UK Payroll knowledge
- Strong level of Excel (confident with data manipulation, vlookups etc) and Access
