Cirencester, United Kingdom St. James's Place Full time

Who we are

People have always been at the heart of St. James’s Place, we value long-term relationships and we are a home for people who care about the future - financially, environmentally and socially. These core values have enabled us to become a leading FTSE 100 Wealth Management company.

**Location**: Cirencester Office (2 days in the office per week)

**Employment Type**: Permanent

As a Financial Promotions Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting the Financial Promotions Department with providing an effective approvals' service for the Partnership and Corporate departments on marketing and promotional communications such as advertising campaigns, adverts, editorials, website content, brochures, etc.

Financial Promotions have final signoff on all our client facing initiatives and must ensure that these are compliant, balanced, clear, fair, and not misleading and reflective of the brand. If a promotion is found to be non-compliant, this could result in a large fine for St. James’s Place and ultimately reputational damage. As this is a trainee role, significant training and support will be provided to ensure that you are fully equipped to support the FP team and provide high level advice to key stakeholders.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Review various financial promotions such as Linked-in, Vouched For, Social Media Profiles and website listings
- Ensure the Partner and SJP is not exposed to any regulatory feedback or reputational risk
- Work closely with the business, to make required amendments to the item submitted to ensure compliance and brand requirements are followed, raising to appropriate reporting lines where needed
- Assist colleagues and business areas with queries they may have relating to Financial Promotions and the Financial Promotions function.
- Build relationships with key internal partners, such as Marketing, Investment Management and Tax and Technical teams.
- Deliver compliant financial promotions in line with agreed SLAs, keeping the submitter updated on progress
- Assist coordinators with logging, approving and queries

**Who we're looking for**:

- You’ll have an understanding of rules and regulations surrounding financial promotions, together with other issues such as Marketing, copyright rules and corporate agreements.
- You'll be able to demonstrate how changes in regulation, legislation and media coverage can affect the outcome of the approval of a financial promotion.
- A high standard of communication skills both written and verbal
- A good understanding of digital mediums, in particular LinkedIn and Google+
- Excellent level of interpersonal and communication skills and can influence and persuade.

**Flexible Working**

We understand that employees work best in different ways, at different times and in different environments. We value all of our employees and appreciate that everyone is unique, and at one of many stages within their career. Recognising this, we have introduced a hybrid working policy to provide greater flexibility for part-time work, job-sharing, remote working, and flexibility on hours. Our people are encouraged to work in a flexible way that suits their lifestyle where it can be accommodated, so please ask the question and start a conversation

**Why work for us?**

**Our Rewards**

In addition to an attractive salary and eligibility to participate in the discretionary annual bonus opportunities, you will also receive an excellent benefits package including:

- Non-Contributory Pension - 10% (increasing with length of service) with further pension matching
- Meaningful protection benefits with real value, such as 10X life cover, PHI, and critical illness.
- Best in class terms and conditions including 6 months paid parental leave.
- Private Medical and Dental Insurance
- 28 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays (based on full-time equivalent) with the option to buy up to an additional 5 days holiday
- Discretionary bonus scheme dependent on company and personal performance, varied by level
- Not applicable to fixed term contracts (standard uplift applies in lieu of the protection benefits)

**Our Culture**

Our culture is the glue that binds us together - It’s one of our biggest assets and one of the biggest reasons for our success. It’s underpinned by core values of doing the right thing, being the best version of ourselves and investing in long term relationships.
