Information Governance and Data Protection is an essential part of any organisation, to ensure that data is kept secure and legal obligations are met. This is a key administrative support to the wider Information Governance Department, supporting the Trust in meeting its legal obligations. The administrative role can also lead to a range of career opportunities. With the right support, you can undertake the necessary training to become a future IG specialist or data security protection professional.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
The role will have a focus on assisting the department with fulfilling its Freedom of Information requirements and will process all requests that come into the organisation.

The role will require communicating with individuals of all levels, both internally and externally, from other administrative supports, to Senior Clinicians and Directors, as well as Solicitors and Police.

In addition the post holder will:

- maintain an exceptional level of confidentiality;
- be computer literate and use to working with Microsoft Excel/ Word and Outlook;
- close working relationships with internal colleagues when processing requests;
- provide administrative support to the Information Governance team, e.g. arranging meetings and records filing;
