**Compliance Officer**

A varied role working within a passionate and driven Compliance team. You will support the Compliance, Health & Safety Manager in ensuring that the Group adheres to compliance with regulatory, ethical and internal standards and in-house policies, whilst striving for high-quality output and engaging with all employees to create productive working relationships.

The Compliance function is a well-established, diverse department, the success of which needs to thrive on a cohesive team that work together towards an outcome of high standards, professional experience and compliance.

**Responsibilities**:

- To understand the Group and Compliance strategies and goals and how these cascade into the Compliance and Health and Safety (H&S) frameworks which include, but are not limited to: Data protection, Anti-Bribery, Modern Slavery, Anti
- Money Laundering, Tax Compliance, Sanctions, Speak Up, GLAA;
- Proactively collaborate with other functions around the Group in order to achieve project and day to day objectives;
- Maintaining adherence to Compliance and H&S based processes. This includes processes to be followed within the Compliance function, and those to be followed by all employees within the Group, such as Placement Risk Under Review, G&H register, COI register, SARs, policy interdependencies and risk assurance;
- Managing the Group's complaints process with the expectation that complaints are professionally resolved by an appropriate stakeholder within an appropriate time frame;
- Maintenance of processes to improve the day to day efficiency and effectiveness of the Compliance department, and ensuring key department processes are appropriately documented;
- Maintaining compliance logs and records, ensuring full completion, escalations as required and follow up actions are executed with the focus of risk mitigation;
- Maintain the Compliance and H&S intranet site by ensuring accuracy and increasing utilisation and engagement;
- Managing the supplier management process set by the Director of Group Compliance, to drive value and efficiencies;
- Collaborating with the Bid team and Legal team in reviewing client or other third party policy documentation, to monitor for our compliance to them, and that they meet our values as a business partner;
- Support with the creation of compliance training modules, namely eLearning;
- Supporting with the management of ISO certifications;
- Managing group inboxes for day to day queries or incident notification, including Compliance, Data, Health & Safety, SAR.

**Skills, Competencies and Experiences**:

- Strong experience in administrative or co-ordination role, with excellent organisation skills and proven ability to deliver results.
- Prior experience within a compliance role and understanding of the processes and typical work product is desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management experience with influencing and relationship building skills.
- Good eye for detail and understanding of the need for perfection versus delivery of output.
- Prior experience in project management and/or developing and implementing effective operational processes and procedures is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in reading complex information, understanding and simplifying in an easily-understandable format (eg, ISO standards and regulatory guidance).
- Strong systems skill set and an ability to rapidly pick up new systems.
- Excellent communication.
- Ability to balance and (re-)prioritise multiple time-sensitive tasks, and manage competing priorities and stakeholders effectively and independently, including keeping all stakeholders regularly updated.
- Self-starter and results driven, with the ability to deliver to deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to see the bigger picture of the task being undertaken.
- Confident to challenge and say no where necessary.
- Acts with honesty and integrity at all times.
- Applies sound personal judgement in dealing with sensitive or critical information, respecting confidentiality and balancing the interests of all parties involved.
