**Job description**

Poulton Cabs are looking for part time Telephone Operators to join our team based at our office in Poulton le Fylde. We are in search of motivated, hard working individual's to join us.

This role will include shifts between Monday to Sunday and may include evenings and weekends. You must be flexible with working hours as you may be required to work extra shifts to cover holidays and sickness and busy periods if required. Notice will be given for these. We however are operating 24 hours a day so some unsociable working hours may be required on certain shifts.

You will be working in a secure office environment using our in-house dispatch system. Full training will be provided for this.

You will need to be organised, have an excellent telephone manner and a great customer service attitude, you must be a good team member but confident to work alone and use your own initiative. You must be reliable, good at working under pressure at peak times and be confident to operate a computerised system. The successful applicant will need high levels of accuracy and concentration. This role is a very fast paced environment so you must be able to work under pressure in a calm, professional manner.

Main tasks will include taking and dealing with booking and enquiries over the phone, taking payments, providing quotes, dispatching work to drivers, recording and inputting information accurately and communicate with customers efficiently and professionally. Assisting drivers where required.

Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
