**Hourly Rate**:£12 - £14 per hour

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with challenging behavior? Our client is a leading provider of residential care for young individuals, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Children's Care Mentor to join our team.

**Purpose of the Job**:
As a Residential Children's Care Mentor, you will be an integral part of our fantastic team, offering a therapeutic and supportive environment to our children and young people. Your aim will be to enhance their lives, act as positive role models, and create a warm and nurturing space for their growth and development.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Provide a Safe, Warm, and Supportive Environment**:Ensure the safety and well-being of the children under your care, providing them with a nurturing and caring environment.
- **Complete Paperwork**:Maintain accurate and up-to-date paperwork related to the children's progress, behaviors, and needs.
- **Home Management and Meal Preparation**:Efficiently manage the home and take responsibility for preparing nutritious meals for the children.
- **Engage in Activities**:Participate in various activities with the children to encourage their personal growth and foster positive experiences.
- **Promote and Safeguard Welfare**:Actively promote and safeguard the welfare of our young children by adhering to the company's policies and procedures.

**Working Hours**:
The working hours for this position vary between 40 - 48 hours per week and will involve sleep-ins.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Previous experience working with children or young people in a residential care setting is advantageous.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting and mentoring young individuals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for completing paperwork and managing daily responsibilities.
- Ability to create a positive and supportive atmosphere within the home.
- Familiarity with therapeutic approaches and techniques is desirable.
