**Contract Type: Temporary until 31 August 2024 (various roles available)**

**Role Purpose**:
To undertake directed reviews and audits of old Physical Property stored on the Property Database (2006-2012) items throughout the Force area, with a view to dispose or retain.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- May be required to work after normal hours/weekends on overtime.
- Be prepared to travel to any location within the Force
- Must be able to lift heavy items.
- Post holder will be required to wear a uniform
- Maintain the recording IT systems relating to POTF (Property other than Found) Database (2006-2012)
- Make decisions for retention/disposal of POTF items using evidence-based risk assessment in line with Information Management Strategy.
- Maintain accurate and complete records/audit trail of all activity.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and national and local guidance
- Promote compliance with SYP’s policies on Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety, both in the delivery of services and the treatment of others
- Ensuring compliance with the principles of GDPR
- Drive our insured Vehicle and where necessary a Police Vehicle.
- Any other duties commensurate with the position of the Property Review Officer

Fixed: This is a traditional arrangement, applicable when the work is mostly required to be undertaken at a fixed single place of work (on police premises) for most of the time. The work can only or is more effectively delivered from a police premises or other agreed organisational/partner premises.
