We are a small but very busy and friendly expanding Mortgage Brokerage based in Sandside, Milnthorpe. We are a Whole of Market and FCA Regulated company specialising in residential mortgages, equity release and protection.

At Lakes Mortgages, we are currently seeking an employed OR Self-Employed Accounts & Office Administrator to process our internal accounts. We are a very busy Mortgage Brokerage and offer a relaxed and very friendly office environment with support from the administration staff.

Experience in accounts systems within a mortgage brokers, or a Finance or Accounting background is advantageous but not necessary at all. Accounts Administrator responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts. Ultimately, you will ensure we process all financial transactions accurately and on time.

You will join a committed and busy team, and can expect the following from the role:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage payments to suppliers, customers and third parties
- Process bank deposits
- Reconcile financial statements and commission payments
- Prepare, send and store invoices
- Identify and address discrepancies
- Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable
- Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
- Update back office systems and client files
- Supporting brokers
- Payments for advisors on a monthly basis
- Monthly Accounting
- Work within our Compliance and Data Security policy procedures at all times
- Other office duties as and when required
**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as an Accounts Administrator or similar role (but not essential as training will be provided.
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and debt collection regulations
- Good knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets
- Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
- Good organizational and time management abilities
**You will bring**
- Experience in compatible occupations (although not necessary)
- Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail & task management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive attitude - especially when busy

- Salary - Dependent on days worked - ie,1 day = £6,240 pa.
