We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical, enthusiastic individual to join the busy Information Team based in Sutton, Surrey

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the flow of patient data required for monitoring the ‘Referral To Treatment (RTT) target. The post holder will liaise with relevant external organisations to ensure relevant patient information relating to waiting times is collected and recorded accurately, escalating any issues as appropriate. The role would be a good opportunity for a new graduate or someone looking to embark upon a career in the NHS involved in Data.

The successful applicant will possess the ability to concentrate for prolonged periods of time under mínimal supervision, prioritising workload in order to meet deadlines. The ability to deal with high volumes of data validation and data entry is essential.

Excellent communication skills are required for this post together with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Outlook/Access as well as experience of using patient information systems such as Epic would be desirable.

The ultimate aim of the post is to coordinate and maintain data collection for all aspects relating to the 18 week Referral to Treatment target such as unknown clock starts and patient pathway information. This also involves providing information through transfer of referrals to external organisations for ongoing management of care.

**This post has three main functions**:
- Ensuring that robust processes are in place to maintain a high quality of 18 week data entered by users in various roles across the Trust enabling Service Managers & MDT Navigators to track patients.
- Ensure accurate data recording of 18 week information in a timely and efficient manner.

- To extract, analyse and interpret clinical information from case notes and other sources according to defined requirements using in-depth knowledge of medical pathways to assess RTT date compliance.
- To ensure all patients on an 18 week pathway have accurate and appropriate clock start and pathway information.
- Act as first point of contact for external queries for all 18 week patient pathway information.
- Audit data collected at referral, liaise with referral staff to resolve any data quality problems to ensure 18 week data compliance is accurately recorded for all patients on an active 18 week pathway, at regular intervals as instructed by Senior RTT Data Officer and current 18 week policy.
- To escalate RTT breaches and ensure that this information is accurately documented on the Patient Tracking List [PTL] database.
- To enter data received on ITP and ITT forms onto Epic
- Regularly monitoring outbound referrals, providing information to external NHS trusts as required.
- Assist with routine data quality checks according to the teams needs.
- To enter relevant information into the Trust’s Hospital Information System (Epic), ensuring that accurate and complete data is entered in a timely manner to enable the monitoring of 18 week data compliance
