Remote, United Kingdom Amateur Golf Tour Limited Full time

**Amateur Golf Tour Limited - Job Description**

**Role: Operations Administrator**

**Location: UK - Home Based**

**Overview**
Amateur Golf Tour Limited is a leading UK golf events company owning and operating the Mizuno Golf Pairs Tour, Mizuno Golf Singles Tour, GP Corporate Events as well as other brands. We specialize in creating and running large golf days in the UK, our regional matchplay events and overseas tours.

We need a highly organized individual to work closely with the Sales and Operations team to manage front line customer enquiries, manage the customer ordering process, set up and manage golf events and generally act as the key contact point for the team and customers.

The individual will ideally have previous experience in working with customers, managing a sales order process (ideally Shopify experience), managing customer invoices (ideally Xero experience), managing golf events (ideally Golf Genius experience) and working with spreadsheets and creating presentations (ideally Google Sheets experience).

However we are aware that these are some very specific requests, so the most important thing is that you are a self starter, capable of working independently on tasks without supervision, adaptability to be able to juggle multiple tasks at once, and team player who is able to look at processes and identify improvements to help the business, rather than simply following a process (although there are processes which do need to be followed).

This is a home based role without any regular commute to an office. There may be a requirement to travel for meetings from time to time but the majority of the work for this role will be home based.

This would suit a hard working ambitious person with golf industry experience an advantage but not essential.

**Key Accountabilities**

The role includes but is not limited to the following tasks:

- Taking customer phone calls - answering queries, taking orders, and directing customers to the relevant place on our website or the relevant departments where necessary.
- Building a FAQ database for repeat queries for both customer and staff reference moving forward.
- Managing orders on Shopify - dealing with payments, refunds and order changes.
- Managing invoices on Xero - working closely with the accounts team to ensure that customers who are booked into Golf Events are paying their invoices, and Xero is set up appropriately to chase payments.
- Managing golf events on Golf Genius - assisting with setting up tee sheets, dealing with tee time changes, assisting with event communications, and assisting with event closedown activities such as sending out prizes and vouchers.
- Downloading data on request from various team members in marketing, sales and operations.
- Preparing presentations and flyers on request.
- General query resolution - problem solving and dealing with issues across all platforms
- Managing Event Info spreadsheet containing all details for all events.

**Mandatory Skills and Experience**
Spreadsheets - Google Sheets (Excel ok)
Excellent phone and written communication
Ability to work independently and multi task

**Desirable Skills and Experience**
Passion for golf
Shopify order management
Xero administration
Golf Genius management
Golf event management
Presentation / creative skills

**Key Notes**
You will be required to manage your own time so there is flexibility in the role. The key deliverable for us as a business is well organized, efficiently managed golf events which delight customers. You’ll be expected to work towards this in everything you do.

Event days are mostly in the week but it’s not a typical Mon-Fri 9-5 position - you will be expected as a matter of course to work evenings and at least one weekend day - but you’ll have a week day off to compensate, and if you are working in the evening later starts to compensate too.

The role holder is expected to grow in the role - the job is to help form the most efficient and effective processes to allow the business to grow into the biggest and best amateur golf organization in the world.

**Remuneration**
This is a temporary role, the role holder will be an independent contractor.

Starting Rate - £2,000pcm developing to £2,500pcm after successful trial period. Length of trial period depends on skills.
