- HR5021-24-098**Are you looking for a busy administrative role and have an interest in either gaining or expanding your knowledge of Human Resources? If so, we have just the role for you.**

We are looking for a full-time HR Assistant to join our HR Operations Team. The Team provides a key and significant service within the University (circa 2100 employees) and we are looking for someone who has proven high level administrative skills, is a proactive and clear communicator and has a keen eye for detail.

In this role you will:

- Use our HR and Payroll database (ResourceLink) daily to ensure that all contractual changes are made accurately and promptly to meet payroll deadlines, and corresponding employment documentation is issued.
- Act as a first point of contact for a wide range of queries from both staff and managers e.g., contractual, holiday, family-friendly leave amongst other queries relating to the employee lifecycle (full training will be given).
- Be proactive in ensuring that HR records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Carry out DBS checks.
- Contribute to projects with a particular emphasis on improving systems and processes.

What are we looking for:

- A clear understanding of the need to give excellent and proactive customer service.
- The ability to plan, prioritise and organise a large workload and enjoy the challenge of working to deadlines.
- An excellent eye for detail and an ability to write clearly and grammatically.
- Experience of using HR and Payroll databases, or equivalent, on a regular basis.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of packages (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Previous experience in a busy workplace environment.
