Our client, a highly respected Higher Education establishment based in Glasgow, require an Events Administrator on a temporary basis for an initial 5-6 month period. The salary for the position is £11.50 per hour. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00amto 5.00pm - 35 hours per week.
**Main purpose of role**:
To develop, and co-ordinate the delivery of a wide range of events, ranging from small workshops to large-scale guest speaker events and academic research conferences. The Events Administrator will provide dedicated support to the lead academics and co-ordinatea range of activities to deliver successful events.
**Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Organise the end-to-end planning and delivery process for a range of events
- Co-ordinate all on-site elements including troubleshooting issues as and when they arise
- Conduct briefing meetings with all service providers to ensure they are fully informed on what is
- require. Communicate relevant feedback to ensure continuous improvement of the quality of service provision
- Attend and contribute to formal organising meetings, and meet with service providers, external
- suppliers, internal university teams and various others to ensure that the event is managed effectively
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent marketing and branding of events
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure appropriate communication, including digital communication, to publicise events and ensure effective follow-up, evaluation and development of events and contacts afterwards
- Develop and contribute to an overall calendar of School events, conferences, seminars and student
- training workshops to ensure an appropriate and planned schedule throughout the session

**Key Skills and Requirements**:

- Educated to HNC level or equivalent
- An understanding of the principles of customer relationship management and events management
- Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to build effective working relationships with both internal and external colleagues
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Highly effective user of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience of using content management systems, web editing and use of T4 web publishing software
- Experience of using delegate management systems
- Event management experience and experience of organising high-profile events
- Experience of dealing with external agencies and suppliers
