Nottingham, United Kingdom Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust Full time

Would you like to be involved in a key role in the exciting and engaging Trust wide Tomorrow’s NUH Programme? We are looking for a Project Support Officer to join the Tomorrow's NUH programme Team at a crucial point in our programme.

In September 2019 the Department of Health & Social Care published the Health Infrastructure Plan (HIP) to deliver a long-term, rolling programme of investment in health infrastructure, including capital to build new hospitals, modernise our primary care estate, invest in new diagnostics and technology, and help eradicate critical safety issues in the NHS estate.

At the centre of this will be a new hospital building programme, to ensure the NHS’ hospital estate supports the provision of world-class healthcare services. This once in a generation opportunity is known as the New Hospitals Programme (NHP) with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust being in Cohort 4 with the Tomorrow’s NUH Programme.

This new and exciting position as the Project Support Officer will help support the delivery of the Tomorrow's NUH Programme. The post holder will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Clinical Model work stream and all associated projects. They will be responsible for the co-ordination and organisation of all associated project meetings, including preparing and issuing appropriate papers, developing agendas, attending the meetings where required producing timely action notes and minutes. They will need to ensure complex information key to the programme and projects are complied, managed, and updated and communicated to the highest level of quality and accuracy, including the preparation of reports, flow charts, project plans, presentations and other associated programme and project documentation as required.

Based at City Hospital site the post holder will be required to travel across the sites and sometimes to other Greater Nottingham venues. Occasionally the post holder may need to work out of core hours (including weekends and evenings) as required by the programme/projects.

With over 17,000 staff, we are one of the biggest employers in the city with a central role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local population. We play a leading role in research, education and innovation.

Come and join our wonderful team at NUH. We are big believers in diversity and welcome new ideas to help develop our team in order to deliver world class healthcare to the vast patient populations we serve. With endless personal development opportunities available, at NUH we will endeavour to turn your job into a career

Our organisation is driven by our strategic objectives and organisational values and behaviours.

Working in the NHS and at NUH is challenging yet rewarding. That is why we do all we can to support staff with rewards and benefits wherever we can. We are able to offer dedicated physio support, discounted health treatments and access to fitness facilities. We offer generous staff discount schemes with Boots and other local companies. There's also the Blue Light Card which allows NHS staff access to discounts and offers from a host of national companies. As part of our commitment to sustainability we also offer discounted travel schemes in partnership with local transport providers.
