**Job Function**:
To contribute to the achievement of monthly and annual targets by assisting in the delivery and development of Stroud Brewery events.Providing administrative and operational support, monitoring profit margins, maintaining relationships with suppliers and offering excellent client service.

**Main responsibilities**:

- To fully understand Stroud Brewery’s ethos/brand and enthusiastically share this knowledge with guests
- To have an in-depth knowledge of classes, events and other services offered to enable you to communicate effectively with guests
- Respond to correspondence and enquiries from potential long term hires, ie yoga classes etc
- Ensure Accounts are notified of any changes to long term hire charges, new and leavers, and cancelled classes
- Responsible for the Stairwell Gallery population and ensuring new exhibitors are added to till system and Accounts are aware of any changes
- Responsible for corporate meeting hire (excludes corporate party events) including room bookings, lunches, beverages and IT requirements
- Take bookings for children’s birthday parties and other small group hires including food, beverages and IT requirements.
- Ensure correct room hire, food and beverage charges are applied to your events to ensure target margins are maintained
- Raise invoices for your bookings and ensure there are signed hire agreements in place
- Liaise with Accounts and bar teams in regards to bar tabs and deposits relating to your events
- To ensure relevant event paperwork is accurate and delivered to the bar and kitchen teams on time for your bookings
- Effectively receive and welcome guest feedback and communicate this with the management team effectively
- Providing ad hoc administrative support to the Events Manager on large ticketed events
- Liaise with Accounts to agree event refunds or credit notes
- Understand Ticket Tailor and action any refunds as requested by the Events Manager
- Maintain calendar entries for your bookings
- Complete weekly reports, including but not limited to feedback, event washups and profitability reports.
- Provide absence cover for Events Manager.

**Person Specification**:
**Demonstrated Skills**:

- Experience in working in the event and hospitality industry
- Good administration skills
- Basic understanding of audio-visual equipment
- Spreadsheet knowledge

**Essential**
- Basic understanding of VAT and Xero/Sage/accounting software
- Confident and friendly person
- Take pride in providing fantastic customer service
- A great telephone manner and interpersonal communication skills
- Efficient and organised
- Passionate about sustainability and great food
- Confident in managing unusual and sometimes difficult enquiries
- Eager to get involved with all sorts of tasks in a multi-faceted business
- Happy to work individually as well as within a team

**Desirable**
- Working knowledge of Ticket Tailor
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Share Stroud Brewery ethos for sustainability
- Advanced knowledge of AV Equipment
