Our People and Culture Team at Sharpsmart has a new opportunity for a People and Culture Administrator to join the team in Spennymoor. In this varied role you will support varied administration responsibilities and will deliver a full life cycle of HR related and payroll service.

**Your role will involve**:

- Performing all activities necessary to process the monthly payroll for c250 people, maintaining related records, collating HR data required by the Finance department and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Preparing employee documents such as offer letters and contracts of employment, employment references, addendums, promotions, secondments etc
- Maintenance of the employer pension and HMRC systems, actioning queries as required
- Investigating and resolving payroll and pension queries.
- Writing and posting regular communications on company platforms (learning materials, employee awards, policy changes, training requirements, employee introductions etc)
- Processing new starters/leavers and supporting in the development of employee onboarding and training and development plans
- Update internal systems (HRIS, Time & Payroll) with employee information/documents ensuring compliance with GDPR and preparing reports for business units.
- Coordination and ensuring accurate records of employee benefits
- Support P&C team in employee meetings notetaking
- Support P&C team in coordinating the delivery of training content in person and using our internal LMS (Learn Amp)
- General coordination and administration to the team, supporting with ad hoc projects as required

**Skills and experience required**
- Experience working in an administrative and payroll capacity (experience in an HR function desirable)
- Working knowledge of payroll and basic employment law legislation
- Organised with strong time management skills
- Knowledge of Micrsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Use of recruitment and HR IT systems
- Self-starter, able to use initiative, work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Well-developed communication skills
- Initiative, enthusiasm, and the ability to multitask and to absorb and assess information quickly
