Join Sharpsmart People and Culture Team as HR Advisor, providing HR advice and guidance to focused business areas.

In this exciting role you will be responsible for delivering an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organisation change, and all other employee-relations matters.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with our external HR company to escalate cases where required
  • Ensure compliance with HR regulations, leading the development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Management of systems including set up of new starters, all preemployment and onboarding paperwork, uploading of documents, internal notifications, creation of internal templates and routine reporting
  • General business administration including department project support, travel and courier coordination
  • Overall management of HRIS functionality including employee files, sickness/absence, holidays, onboarding and training programs, KPI and performance management, expenses and time sheet, leaver process and routine reporting
  • Coordination of employee monthly, quarterly and annual KPI and performance reviews
  • CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • Additional HR training or administration experience is a plus
  • Proven experience as a HR Generalist or advisory role (min 3 years)
  • Good knowledge of employment legislation
  • Resourceful, problemsolving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems (Lever and People HR), and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
  • Full driving licence with the ability to travel throughout the UK
