Your job

The Head of HR role is the most senior HR expert in the UK sales/commercial business and sits in the senior leadership teams of the UK business. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR within the UK & Ireland organization, working closely with business leaders as a true partner to the business advising on all people matters.

The role is based at our Spennymoor offices and would be ideal for someone looking for stability and longevity in a role. We have a hybrid working policy mixing office days and working from home days and have an early finish every Friday.

Main Responsibilities
Ensure the implementation of HR strategies that align with the central company's goals and objectives. Develop and implement HR strategies that support the local organization's short-term and long-term goals. Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent. Establish and maintain performance management systems to evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and support professional development. Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations issues. Support leaders with disciplinary and grievance procedures as needed and support with appeal hearings across the business as required. Provide guidance and support in communicating change initiatives, managing resistance, and facilitating smooth transitions. Identify training needs and develop employee training programs to enhance skills and competencies. Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain employees. Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies. Your profile What we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Qualified CIPD Level 5 Significant experience in a HR Leadership role. In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Outstanding attention to detail and excellent organisation skills. Personal attributes of a strong character, resilience and compassion. Coaching and Mentoring experience with a key ability to develop the direct report.
