**Salary £28,493 - £45,495**

**Dorchester, combined with home-working**

We believe that our employees aren’t just cogs in the machine, but the driving force behind our success. When you step into the role of HR Change Lead, you aren’t just accepting a new job, but an invitation to shape and grow with us.

**What’s in it for you**:
Engage with a diverse range of individuals across all levels and services within the council. Additionally, collaborate with key external stakeholders, including Trade Unions, amplifying the richness of your professional interactions.

Use your reservoir of experience and insights to initiate and drive meaningful transformation. Here, you have a direct hand in moulding our organisation’s future, ensuring that we not only evolve but thrive.

Step outside the confines of our office and connect with a broader community. Share, and learn from other practitioners and organisations. Exchange stories, strategies, and spark innovative ideas together.

Your growth is our priority. We're committed to investing in you. Whether it's through training programs, workshops, or conferences, we want to ensure you're always learning, evolving, and surpassing even your expectations.

Take this opportunity. Drive change, steer your career, and be an integral part of our dynamic journey.

**What you will be doing**:
You will be actively involved in various aspects of the council’s development.

On a day-to-day basis, you'll mentor our people managers, providing them with tools and insights to manage change effectively within their teams.

A significant part of your role will involve collaborating with our Trade Unions to ensure consultations are both timely and productive. Building and maintaining relationships is crucial. You'll be liaising frequently with our HR Business Partners, Organisational Development teams, and other internal colleagues. The aim? To jointly develop effective and sustainable change strategies that integrate well into our processes.

Lastly, you'll work with teams across the council to ensure that our change-related policies and guidance are current and effective. This role requires both a strategic perspective and hands-on involvement to ensure our organisation remains adaptive and efficient in its growth.

**About**

You're a seasoned leader in driving change. Your confidence in this area ensures you can influence, advise, and guide managers, irrespective of their rank or seniority. You will be MCIPD certified or have accumulated significant related experience.

Your skills in project management and delegation stand out. You know how to pull the best from our customer teams and central change team to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.

You're no stranger to handling sensitive situations. Even when issues are contentious, emotionally charged, or complex, you navigate them with grace and resolve.

Your ability to grasp and interpret people management policies, especially those tied to change, is strong. This ensures that all changes align with employment law and are consistently applied.

You possess a keen understanding of how individuals react during periods of change, and more importantly, you know how managers can best support their teams during these times.

Consulting with our Trade Unions is key, and you have the know-how to engage with them constructively, ensuring they play an active, positive role in the change process.

Experience in local government is not a prerequisite, we value diverse experiences. In fact, many of us have roots in the private sector, so whether you're from the corporate world or have a mixed bag of experiences, you'll fit right in.
