Our client are looking to recruit for the position of a Trainee HR Business Partner
The purpose of the role is to support the Head of HR to deliver an operational and strategic Business Partnering approach to the businesses. Supporting the businesses in Employee Relations across the following areas: disciplinary, grievance, sickness/ welfare,performance management, conduct and capability
Key elements of this full-time role will involve:

- Developing a knowledge of HR processes and procedures eg.Disciplinary and Grievance by supporting the Head of HR and line managers with hearing preparation, post hearing outcome notes and letters
- Developing a knowledge of the Company's sickness absence processes and procedures supporting the Head of HR, other members of the HR team and line managers with the liaison with Occupational health, hearing preparation and outcome letters.
- Provide assistance to the Head of HR, other members of the HR team with the administration of the performance and development process
- Deal with and provide answers to routine HR queries referring to other members of the team where there is any doubt/ambiguity on the right solution.
- Draft confidential correspondence
- Update the HR database as and when required and in line with GDPR
- Work with line managers and other members of the HR team on JDS diversity and Inclusion goals
- Understand the business goals and aid the HR team and line managers with the PDR process, following through where PDRs have not been completed
- Prepare and issue offer and contract paperwork for all new starts
- Assist the Head of HR and other members of the HR team with the annual pay and bonus process by undertaking market research on RPI, Market Benchmarking
- Undertake project work as and when required such as pensions transformation, Colleague engagement project. Nu style and JDT colleague opinion
Experience, skills & knowledge:

- General skills - This is a broad and varied role and good judgement will be require to raise queries and seek guidance where appropriate in relation to different aspects of the HR function (e.g. learning & development, reward, compensation & benefits, disciplinary,grievance, managing sickness absence ).
- Coaching skills -You must be comfortable in offering advice to line managers where appropriate seeking guidance yourself if unsure
- Change Management skills
- Developing skills to facilitate organisational change in the businesses
