2fawcett are currently recruiting for an events coordinator for a business based in Nottingham. You will be responsible for every aspect of an event, from choosing venues to evaluating success afterwards.The goal is to organise unforgettable events that will ensure the entertainment of participants and facilitate the completion of business objectives.

Please be aware that the nature of events means that you will be required to be flexible around your working hours to include weekends and evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and deliver high quality partnership proposals, pitches and slide decks.
- Maintain budgets and report on income versus expenditure.
- Originate and maintain an annual events calendar, including scoping out future events
- Come up with original concepts and plan every detail of an event
- Constantly update relevant stakeholders and inform them of issues or changes
- Approach relevant suppliers and contractors to negotiate attractive pricing
- Ensure that corporate events are in line with the company’s brand identity and strategy
- Manage and oversee events on the day to ensure that things run smoothly, including problem solving, directing event set up, communicating with staff and vendors
- Ensure that all parties adhere to the relevant health, safety and insurance regulations ensuring that relevant documentation is completed as per show requirements and stand build
- Oversee post-event activities, such as the cleaning of venues and the payment of suppliers and contractors
- Maintain a working relationship with vendors and venues
- Plan event aspects, such as venue, seating, guest list, etc
- Co-ordinate any event entertainment including guest speakers
- Anticipate and plan for different scenarios
- Plan multiple events at once
- Research and book appropriate venues
- Making relevant travel arrangements for all events, including internal and external parties

Key Skills Needed:

- Proven experience as an event coordinator
- A proven track record of organising multiple successful events
- Proficient in MS office
- Excellent vendor management skills
- Well-organised with multi-tasking skills
- Able to handle stress and remain calm
- Problem solving ability
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
