**About the role**
Forward Leeds is the alcohol and drug service in Leeds for adults, young people and families. Forward Leeds is delivered by 4 services in partnership, led by Humankind. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a 12 month treatment programme that consists of group and individual interventions. It is delivered by the DBT team in COMHAD. The Co-occuring Mental Health, Alcohol and Drugs (COMHAD) team are based across the Forward Leeds Hubs and work with those who struggle with moderate mental health issues and substance use difficulties.
- The DBT programme is aimed and suitable for those who struggle with high levels of distress, self
- harming behaviours, intense suicidal thinking in addition to substance use. It is a manualised treatment programme delivered by trained mental health professionals.
- The programme has been running for many years and the volunteer would be supported by members of the DBT team.
- This role would be brilliant for someone with a variety of administrative skills and a passion for helping others.
- The volunteer will be supporting the COMHAD team with any administrative tasks associated with the DBT (dialectal behaviour therapy) programme.**Tasks will include**:

- Tracking referrals into the programme
- Managing logistics of individuals joining, pausing and completing the course
- Attending consult sessions with the whole team after each group
- Printing, filing and organising handouts and resources for the programme
- Posting handouts to attendees before each module
- Gathering outcome measures for each attendee pre-treatment, 6 months in and post-treatment
- Keeping the team updated with regards to the National DBT benchmarking project that the team have just joined.
- On occasion, putting together and presenting reports on the data that has been collected.

- Clear understanding of importance of confidentiality
- Some experience of working with vulnerable adults
- An understanding of Humankind - information is available on our website, and you can call a specific project to make enquires
- A genuine interest in being part of the mission and vision of Humankind
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, adhere to Humankind policies, engage in supervision, and complete relevant training
- Experience of working / volunteering with adults at risk / with support needs related to drug/alcohol use

**We ask that you are able to commit to a half a day or full day for a minimum of 4 months. The Forward Leeds service is open from Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.**
