**Job overview**:
This is a newly established role in the NCA.

This is a genuinely exciting time to join the NCA PGME Service. As we head into our transformational change programmes in order to deliver a professional and supportive service to our doctors in training across the NCA.

The Senior Administrator to the Education Directors, will have a key role in supporting the Assistant Director of Education in the coordination and administration of a professional effective and efficient PGME Service. This includes providing high level PA duties to the Education Directors.

**Main duties of the job**:
While the postholder does not need to have a background in Postgraduate Medical Education, they will need to be conscientious, meticulously organised and always act in a professional and confidential manner. The individual will be a crucial member of the PGME Senior Management Team, coordinating and organising programmes of work across the PGME service on behalf of the Education Directors. Therefore, the post calls for a highly motivated individual, who is able to use their own initiative, work to set deadlines, deal with complex issues and is comfortable working under pressure.

This role is central to the NCA PGME Service and will requre dilligence and attention to detail, in order to manage the varied and complex workload.

**Essential criteria**:

- Degree level qualifications. OR Diploma level qualification/demonstrable experience in the fields of administrative procedures
- Good levels of MS Office products especially the use of complex outlook diaries

**Desirable criteria**:

- Post graduate level qualification in administrative management.
- Experience and knowledge of the working practices of an NHS Organisation

**Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience**:

- High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex issues and work effectively with a wide range of staff at all levels of seniority.
- Ability to maintain high standards of business conduct, producing excellent quality of work whilst working under pressure.
- Ability to produce clear reports and plans.
- Proven time management skills with the ability to prioritise and balance a range of competing tasks to deliver to agreed timescales often under pressure
- Significant experience of high-level complex diary management.
- Minute taking skills
- Advanced keyboard skills
