**Job overview**:
**We now have an opportunity for two full time Band 3 PALS Administrators.**

**Main duties of the job**:

- Take messages from a variety of sources, ensuring they are accurately documented and passed on in a timely way.
- Assist enquirers where possible, for example if they need to be redirected to another organisation or need general information and log these cases on Datix.
- Liaise and assist PALS Officers and other colleagues outside of the service as necessary in dealing with and resolving enquiries and requesting information
- Input enquiries and other data into relevant systems
- Extract information from the Datix system as required.
- Work with the Senior PALS and Complaints Administrator to develop the administration function of the team to continually improve service deliver

**Essential criteria**:

- GCSE or equivalent in English
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent knowledge or experience

**Desirable criteria**:

- RSA typing or equivalent

**Knowledge and skills**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Able to work with mínimal supervision
- Able to use a database to input and extract information
- Excellent verbal skills
- Time management and organisational skills
- Team player

**Desirable criteria**:

- A knowledge of the PALS and Complaints service and how they link together

**Training and Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Customer Care Training
- Typing, data inputting or similar training

**Desirable criteria**:

- Experience of working in a customer care setting
- Experience of working in a PALS or Complaints setting
- Previous NHS experience
