To work as part of the Renal / Living Donor team ensuring designated inpatient and day case activity and waiting lists are managed efficiently and effectively in line with both national and local standards and the workload is managed in a timely and accurate manner.

Support and maintain patients through their clinical pathway.

Support and check patient administration undertaken by Directorate Typists following Consultant/Medic signature and undertake any corrections as required.

Support the booking of treatment, investigations and/or outpatient appointments.

To Support the Coordinator when required in contacting patients, relatives, carers, GPs, Consultants (internal and external), medical staff (internal and external) community staff (including nursing), nursing staff, administrative staff, other health related bodies such as DVLC and Social Security, Housing Department and Pharmaceutical companies, on behalf of the consultants.

To support with the waiting lists in accordance with Trust and National Guidelines and work with the coordinator on any issues.

Retrieving patient notes from the medical records office, clinic areas, x-ray department, and other departments on a daily/weekly basis using a trolley to transport the notes.

Ensuring pinpoint tracing out book for notes is kept up to date and completed accurately.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for the maximum period of 12 months. Where there is potential, the secondment/fixed term contract may finish early, or in the first instance, the secondment/fixed term contract may be extended due to the internal/external secondment of the substantive post holder. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and secondments in relation to the substantive post holder.
