**Job summary**:
The Compliance Officer post within the Liquid Waste Department is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to provide professional and comprehensive testing, advice and investigations in line with Departmental procedures and best practice.

The post holder will be responsible for a large range of aspects, including the analysis of key surveys and data relating to the islands public drainage systems, and producing relevant reporting and maintaining performance metrics to ensure its ongoing operational effectiveness.

The post holder will provide advice and support to members of the public, the department, and other GOJ Departments. The post holder will be responsible for routine testing to ensure GoJ and private sector industries are in compliance with the relevant regulatory standards.

With a focus on continuous improvement, the role will be required to undertake relevant research to support the improvement of business activities, practices and procedures and ensure the provision of first-class service to the island's public. The post holder will train staff and with changes in practices and improvements found.

The role is diverse, varied, and fast paced. No two days are the same.
