**Job summary**:
The States of Jersey Police (SOJP) is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join their team as a Child Protection Representative.
This vital role involves representing the SOJP at Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC) and Review Child Protection Conferences (RCPC), ensuring effective inter-agency management of child protection within the Public Protection Unit (PPU).
Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction and information sharing with diverse individuals and agencies. Proficient in researching and analysing sensitive police source material, displaying strong analytical skills when reviewing information and intelligence to produce accurate reports.
Ability to evaluate reports from other agencies, assessing their impact on existing cases and forwarding pertinent information to the relevant entities.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload, ensuring timely preparation of reports for Initial Child Protection Conferences
and Review Conferences.
Demonstrate ability to work autonomously, managing and challenging information related to child protection matters in accordance with SOJP procedures and legislation.
Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a high level of concentration and producing concise and accurate reports for conferences and meetings. Understanding and respectful handling of highly confidential and sensitive issues related to child protection.
This position requires adherence to strict confidentiality protocols and compliance with the Information Sharing Protocol within Multi-agency Child Protection Procedures and Data Protection Legislation.
