**Job summary**:
A critical role has arisen within the Office of the Director of Civil Aviation. The Aerodromes, Air Traffic & Airspace Regulator (AR) is responsible for safety oversight of Aerodromes, Air Navigation, Airspace and Meteorological (Met) Services in the Channel Islands in support of the Director of Civil Aviation (DCA), as well as the development of regulatory policy. This role will also have management responsibility for the Aviation Security Regulator in the Office of the DCA (ODCA).

The postholder will regulate all Channel Islands aerodromes ensuring that service providers comply with the safety standards set by the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO) relevant to aerodromes, air traffic, airspace and Met. The postholder will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including engagement with Government and Regulatory bodies (such as the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), aviation trade bodies and members of the public. The Channel Islands aerodromes are contained within a dedicated block of airspace known as the Channel Islands Airspace - this area is crucial to the continued connectivity internationally and its protection and compliance are paramount.
