**Job summary**:
Traffic Officers are responsible for promoting compliance and enforcing the statutory liabilities of road users relating to the condition and operation of motor vehicles. The post holder must have a minimum of IMI Level 4 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent body of knowledge, must hold a clean valid driving licence and have the ability to acquire a thorough knowledge of all motor vehicle and road traffic legislation. A wide technical knowledge and experience of motor vehicles and mechanical engineering is essential.
