There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Group Head Office, located in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to recruit a Receptionist to join the Administration team. This is a part-time role working one day per week, with additional hours required to cover annual leave of the team.

**The Role**

The Receptionist is expected to greet guests positively and ensure they are directed appropriately. The Receptionist is also expected to maintain the telecommunications system and execute all administrative tasks to the highest of standards.

Principal accountabilities of the role include:

- Meeting and greeting all guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome
- Responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the reception area
- Assisting with hospitality for meetings as required
- Efficiently report any cleaning, maintenance, IT or H&S concerns to the office manager
- Answer all internal and external telephone calls in a timely, professional, warm and friendly manner
- Forward messages where necessary
- Assist others with general administration, typing reports, letters and ordering stationery and mobile phones
- Any other admin duties as required, including assisting other departments with general administrative duties
- Ensuring post is sent daily

**Experience, Qualifications and Skills**

**Experience**
- Experience of working in a similar role

**Qualifications and Training**
- GCSE Maths and English - Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)

**Skills and Aptitude**
- Excellent administration and organisation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Demonstrates a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently, remaining focused and motivated
- Ability to adapt to a changing working environment
- A ‘ can do’ positive attitude
- Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems

**The Role and Working Conditions**
- One day (7 hours) per week on a Monday, with additional hours required to cover annual leave of the team
- Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked
- Office based role
