**Job Title: Complaints Administrator**

**Location: Doncaster Royal Infirmary**

**Hours: 22.5 hpw - Monday-Friday**

**Trust Location: DRI, Thorne road, Doncaster, DL2 5LT**

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Acknowledge concerns, questions, comments and formal complaints in accordance with Trust Policy and the NHS Formal Complaints Procedure.
- Act as appoint of contact for patients, relatives, visitors and carers and resolve/ assist in local resolution of concerns as per Trust policy and guidance.
- Ensure complaints are forwarded to the appropriate lead investigator(s), within the Divisions and Services for investigation.
- Develop correspondence for complainants during the concerns, questions, comments and formal complaints
- Maintain accurate records of complaints on DATIXWEB ensuring all information is up to date, accurate and available, should it be required for further investigation.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- NHS System knowledge
- Excellent telephone manner
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- IT skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload
- Ability or experience in complaint handling
