**Job summary**:

- This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and motivated communications professional to work within a small, specialist team, leading on large-scale paid-for campaigns as well as smaller, community-based no-cost campaigns.

**Person specification**:

- Responsibilities:
- Lead 2 x Marketing Officers, covering a broad portfolio of paid campaigns throughout the year, including the social housing ‘Make Things Right’ campaign, Levelling Up campaigns and branding projects across the Department and its community funds.
- Work with full service creative agency to develop and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns, underpinned by robust OASIS planning, using audience insight and SMART objectives to inform campaign strategy and measure success.
- Deliver communications campaigns on time and on budget, working with campaigns colleagues to ensure campaign materials have the appropriate approvals and support from ministers and senior officials.
- Use live insight and data to optimise campaigns in flight, ensuring effective and value-for-money marketing delivery.
- Work with policy and campaigns colleagues to find creative and innovative ways to help our messages travel further through non-paid activity.
- Proactively advise campaigns and strategic communications colleagues on creative ways to reach our audiences using no-cost marketing, ensuring the team uses the full marketing toolkit, deploying paid-for marketing only when it is the absolute value-for-money option.
- Support the Head of Marketing and wider campaigns team in ensuring at least 10% of the campaigns budget is allocated to innovation - working with senior leaders and other stakeholders to test new and effective ways of reaching our audiences.
