**Independently owned Apartment Hotel in Leicester City Centre is looking for an engaging and confident Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our hotel team in Leicester. You will lead our team delivering great service. We are looking for people with the right attitude towards hospitality, with an eye for detail who will ensure our guests and clients have a memorable stay with us.**

**Duties to include (but not restricted to)**:
**Planning and Leading Shifts**

**Providing a warm and high-quality service over the phone and on the guest’s arrival to the hotel**

**Ensuring exceptional service standards to maximise guest satisfaction and ensuring the front desk is never left unattended**

**Responding to guest queries in a timely and efficient manner**

**Helping encourage customer loyalty by developing friendly, personalised relationships**

**Following all necessary processes as per guidelines when guests arrive and depart (check-in /check-out)**

**Responding to head office in an efficient manner. Ensuring that all relevant guest feedback is dealt with in a positive way promptly.**

**Managing invoices, payments, cash transactions and maintaining logs and records in line with company processes**

**Passing on information as necessary to other departments and within the front desk team**

**Demonstrate a knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other hotel facilities necessary to perform daily duties**

**Maximise room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities**

**Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation**

**Taking reservations and business inquiries out of office hours**

**Fill in daily & weekly report as a regular practice**

**Requirements for this role**:
**Minimum 6 Months - 1 year, Hotel experience, management experience preferred**

**Knowledge of systems (PMS) like Little Hotelier / OPERA is advantageous**

**Good communication skills. Knowledge of a second language would be advantageous**
