Relationship Manager

Up to £35k per annum

Agenda Partnership have partnered with a not-for-profit organisation to support with recruiting a Relationship Manager, a new position to the trust. They are investing many ways in to facilities and also in this role as part of a broader ambition to improveand continue to support the lives of the young people they work with.

The purpose of the role falls into three categories: Fundraising, Marketing and Communications. The role of Relationship Manager will enable the trust to strengthen relationships with the Quaker Local and Area Meetings, with individuals, and with other QuakerRecognised Bodies. In addition, the role will enable the trust to both maintain and develop their strong external reputation.

Key responsibilities:

- Work with the Delivery Teams to develop a grounded understanding of the work the trust does, and the impact it has
- Develop their approach to communicating with the Quaker Community, and other partners
- Produce materials that convey the value and impact of Quaker support, both individual and collective.
- Build an understanding of what is important to their supporters, how they communicate, make asks, and recognise their contribution and use this to inform their fundraising practice. Liaise with other Quaker Recognised Bodies to develop best practice inworking with Quakers and develop partnerships where this is appropriate.
- Work with the wider team, including the Board, to understand what being a Quaker Recognised Body means, and how this influences their day to day work.
- Work with colleagues to inform and develop marketing materials which meet the needs of Quaker Communities.
- Work closely with CEO and Board to co-ordinate relationships with Quaker Meetings, Individuals and Bodies.
- Attend Local Meetings as a representative of the trust, present on what they do, and build relationships.
- Ensure that there is a consistent message to their external stakeholders around their service, approach, ambition and the difference they make.
- Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure that all relevant information on gifts, are properly recorded on the database
- Work with teams to ensure that donations made for specific projects or services are use in line with donor wishes and best practice, and to provide feedback to donors.
- Maintain a database of key relationships and communications
- Create and implement a system for evaluating the effectiveness of relationship management efforts, including the retention of donors, and value of donations.

Experience required:

- Experience of developing and maintaining positive working relationships
- An understanding of Quakers would be desirable
- Experience of working in a fundraising, development, or communications role is not essential, but ability to demonstrate how experiences are transferable would be advantageous
- Ability to gather information and to analyse that information and feedback to the Community.
- Hold a capacity for empathy and understanding.
- Understanding the significance of relationships and attachments.
