Supplier Relationship Manager, Vendor Manager, Account Manager

This role will take ownership for leading Supplier Relationship Management activities with key suppliers to develop capacity and capability, mitigate risk, unlock process improvement and promote a partnering approach to managing contracts. As well as externalstakeholders, this role will work closely with a range of internal stakeholders to ensure specifications and benchmarks are objectively measured. You will also be involved in market/data analysis to understand the buying environment; run RFI, RFQ and tenderprocesses for new and existing spend; and conducting negotiations to ensure value in terms of price, product quality and availability.
To succeed in this role, you may already be working closely with suppliers or distributors in a commercial or supply chain capacity and having a demonstrable impact on performance and outputs. With proven experience in establishing strong supplier relationshipsand building long-term partnerships, you will have high levels of drive and initiative, a strong customer focus, high attention to detail and be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to your responsibilities. Exceptional communication and influencing skillsare required aligned with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced working environment. With outstanding prospects available, this opportunity offers a hybrid working pattern with 2-3 days per week in the Cambridge office.
