Position Overview

The Supplier Relationship Manager plays a pivotal role within a dynamic project team, collaborating with senior project members to oversee and report on the performance of all suppliers and subcontractors. This role is essential in ensuring that material costs align with budget expectations while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations and proactively addressing potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with all principal suppliers involved in the project.
  • Ensure comprehensive alignment between Marshall and all suppliers regarding key contractual obligations and necessary documentation, including Terms and Conditions, Statement of Work, and Schedule of Requirements.
  • Facilitate regular project review meetings with suppliers, engaging relevant functional leaders as needed.
  • Address any supplier non-compliance issues, seeking assistance from the Bid Procurement Team or Category Team when necessary.
  • Continuously monitor and assess supply and supplier risks in relation to the project timeline.
  • Negotiate and finalize any changes to the contract baseline in collaboration with key functional leaders.
  • Deliver monthly status updates to functional and business leaders.
  • Ensure that all suppliers fulfill their contractual responsibilities.
  • Review and authorize supplier payments in accordance with contractual agreements.

Essential Tasks:

  • Develop and maintain robust relationships with all key stakeholders, providing updates on cost, supply status, and risk assessments for all suppliers and subcontractors involved in the project.
  • Prepare and present weekly 4-Box reports detailing Successes, Opportunities, Failures, and Threats (SOFT) to key functional and project leaders.
  • Lead significant development review meetings with suppliers to ensure alignment with contractual deliverables.

Required Competencies:

Technical Competencies:

  • Proven experience in project and/or subcontractor management within a development contract framework.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, preferably IFS.

Certifications:

  • APM certification is advantageous.
  • CIPS certification is not essential.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in managing a diverse range of suppliers and contracts.
  • Experience in developing multi-year Category Strategies for relevant expenditure areas.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience in international supplier management.
