The role is both varied and challenging. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to all operational recruitment and training activity through the onboard of new hires, induction and training planning and support, and resource management.

**Your main responsibilities will be**:

- Onboarding successful applicants' (arranging medicals, release from duties, reference checks, security checks, and issuing contracts)
- Ensure all onboarding paperwork is complete and copies uploaded to colleague personnel files
- Maintain onboarding and recruitment trackers and provide reports where required
- Collation and advertising of vacancies
- Set up training courses, ensuring efficient use of our trainer and venue resources
- Maintain GWR staff training records
- Ensure course waitlists are kept up to date and managed effectively

- _**As a minimum, you will need to have**:

- Experience of working in a fast-paced office environment
- Excellent and demonstrated communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong administration skills with a high attention to detail
- The ability to make independent decisions
- Experience of working in a HR or Training environment is desirable but not essential

**About the location?**

The HR People Services, and Learning & Development Training team, are based in Milford House, Swindon Town Centre.

**W**orking pattern?**

35 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

**Additional information?**

Office cover is needed on a rotational basis but there will also be some opportunity to work from home or in other network locations.
