**About the role**

Create individual and group activities which are physically and mentally stimulating that enhance/maintain the quality of life for every service user.

**Objectives**
- Evidence and report all activities (most important objective).
- Organise and co-ordinate all internal and external activities (including group activities).
- Create minimum of 3-month activity plans.
- Seasonal plans should be calendarized e.g. Chinese new year, religious holidays, Pancake day etc.
- Identify and create personalised activity plans for each service user.
- Family/community participation - if no family involvement, community participation e.g. Polish society, local mosque/temple etc.
- Music stimulation.
- Exercise (very important)
- Gaining feedback from service users (very important e.g. online surveys).
- Work with manager to ensure care plans are updated and reflect the service user’s activities likes and dislikes.
- Ensure all birthdays are celebrated.
- Ensure all activities are risk assessed.
- Follow infection control measures to prevent spread of Covid-19.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-14 per week

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Care assistant and/or activities in a care home environment: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- DBS (online subscription) (preferred)
- Care Certificate (required)

Work Location: In person
