Superb client based in Daventry is looking for a L&D Specialist to join their team in a brand new department of the company. An established company that offers an excellent work culture together with extensive career progression opportunities.
**The Role**:
The Learning and Development Specialist works with the HR Manager to develop a framework that delivers an innovative and effective suite of learning activities, building a culture of continuous improvement, championing high performance and delivery againstthe Group objectives.
To deliver high levels of support, guidance, and expertise to colleagues to share knowledge and provide effective management of day-to-day learning.
**Key Accountabilities**
Onboarding/Inductions:
Responsible for ensuring that all induction plans and training for new colleagues across all business units are designed, planned, delivered, and evaluated.
To work with HR and the Business Unit to define core modules that are required for new employees to inform the creation of the induction plan that is tailored for each business unit's requirements using the Career Path for the department, which considersthe employees' level of experience.
Responsible for developing a schedule of learning activities and objectives that the new colleague will adopt. This will include time-bound actions and regular reviews with HR and the Line Manager to ensure a smooth induction journey and to identify anyadditional training activities.
To function as a conduit with other departments or external suppliers to ensure that the employee has obtained the necessary tools, equipment, and company information set out in the induction plan.
To provide coaching, and mentoring and identify any further requests to be considered from the Group's business units
To develop and manage a real-time calendar that sets out specific blocked dates for induction activities to be booked. This holistic calendar will enable all departments, line managers, and senior leadership to access and view the calendar for ease of useand effective communication and coordination of the availability of modules, practical training, and external live project visits.
Measure and evaluates the induction process against clear objective setting and learning outcomes to determine if outcomes are met or if there is a requirement for ongoing development, aligning with the appraisal process.
Learning & Development:
To carry out capability assessments across the organisation
To manage all training activities for the group, delivering key training programmes if required.
To work with the HR Generalist, to ensure that the group training calendar is accessible and communicated to all colleagues
Working with the HR Manager, to support the delivery of the people strategy in relation to colleague's development
To monitor, report, and evaluate all training activity/induction programmes to ensure return on investment
To create Group training KPI's and with support from the HR Generalist, produce monthly training statistics and report against KPIs
To work with business unit leaders and the HR Manager to develop and implement a training matrix for all roles, reviewing them annually at performance appraisals considering colleagues' development needs.
Liaise with the SHEQ department and Training division on Health & Safety training matters, ensuring that legal in-house training and e-learning are completed to standards and individuals remain compliant.
Develop, design, and implement a coaching/mentoring scheme with support from the HR Manager in order to create a coaching culture within the organisation
Work with the HR Manager to ensure that expenditure falls within the parameters of the allocated budget
To design and deliver Learning and Development projects that meet business needs as and when required
Network with external suppliers to build up a portfolio of trusted partners
Upkeep and confidentiality of training records and files
To measure and evaluate how effectively learning has been transferred to employees, against the pre
- agreed learning outcomes.
Early Careers & Apprentices:
Networking with educational settings to support young people with development skills required for the workplace
Develop, design, and implement the apprenticeship/graduate scheme with support from the HR Manager Technical Competencies Qualifications:
Level 5 CIPD or L&D qualification or equivalent Experience & Knowledge:
Experience in presenting virtually and in-person
Experience in facilitating/delivering inductions and training programmes
Ability to partner and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Experience in designing, delivering, and managing training and development programmes
Supplier Management experience
Experience in administrating, designing, and delivering training programmes
Demonstrable background in training delivery that works around customer requirements.
Exceptional facilitation and coaching skills with experience in delivering training.
LMS administration and content creation experience
**Additional Requirements**
Some attendance for evening and weekend work may be required
A valid passport will be required as some training abroad is likely
Commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes
This role requires the post holder to be an Essential Car User, hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
