As the Community Engagement and Programme Coordinator, you will lead the cultivation of community engagement, oversee membership processes, support teachers' schedules, and ensure the success of our diverse programmes

Our Services: As an STO (Socially Trading Organisation), we aim to make a positive difference in the community while generating trading income. Our services include:

- Katumba Drumming & Movement Community Band Membership & Courses - Teaching drumming and movement to 100+ community members from across the globe engaged weekly at our Katumba Culture Hub in Toxeth with a focus on physical and mental wellbeing
- Katumba Drumming & Movement Performances - Providing unique entertainment to a wide variety of events local, national and internationally from fundraisers to international sporting events and carnivals, to private black tie etc..members mentioned above are given opportunity to perform at said events
- Katumba Classes, Workshops & Masterclasses - Music, Movement & Mindfulness Available for Schools, Community Groups, Companies with our specially tailored team building packages
- Katumba Culture Hub - space hire to other cultural organisations

**Reporting to**: Operations and Finance Manager

**Work hours**: Part Time 18h/wk with 15h spread between split between 2/3 days; occasional weekend/evening working (pre-agreed); no overtime but time off in lieu.

**Place of Work**: Hybrid working (a mixture of Liverpool based Katumba/BrazUKa’s office, 10min from City Centre and working from home)

**Contract Type**: Permanent

**Probation Period**: 3 months

**Notice Period**: 1 month

**Annual Holiday**: 5.6 weeks (pro-rated for part time)

**Flexibility**: A flexible approach to working hours is negotiable.

**Salary rate**: £10,300- £12,000 per annum

**Job Overview**:
As the Community Engagement and Programme Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in fostering community engagement and supporting our diverse membership. Your dynamic leadership and passion for music, movement practices and social impact will contribute to our mission of promoting inclusivity and wellbeing. You will ensure seamless membership processes, manage inquiries, and provide exceptional support to our members and the community we serve. You will coordinate the seamless execution of our various programmes, support the teachers to manage their schedule and teaching materials, manage community partnerships and ensure the success of our members teaching programme.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the teachers and freelance practitioners to support the managing of the ongoing schedule of member classes, workshops, and performances. Ensuring efficient planning and documentation of all deliveries as reported by teachers
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, teachers, and community partners to facilitate successful collaborations and program delivery.
- Support new education projects alongside the MDs (i.e., new band structure, teachers trainee programme).
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content and promotional materials for our members
- Coordinate the process of onboarding new members, including membership, drum assignment, drums, and relevant equipment, learning pathway.
- Support the coordination of drum assignment & instrumentation, including second/multi-instrument pathway.
- Coordinate learning progress, including compiling assessment data to streamline & group members into learning levels.
- Membership Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective members, providing exceptional customer service and promptly responding to inquiries. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with members, ensuring they feel valued and supported in their drumming and movement journey.
